This product is an essential part of the Wildflower CBD line. For me, their dose is high enough to be taken as a daily vitamin or in the event of lingering pain.
Capsules are an exceptionally accessible way to access CBD as a daily supplement. A capsule containing CBD can be organized right beside our daily zinc and Vitamin supplements without a second thought. When taking CBD daily we are attempting to treat an imbalance in our endocannabinoid system. But each of us is dealing with a very subjective imbalance, not everyone needs the same daily dose of any cannabinoid.
With a more balanced endocannabinoid system, our body can have more of an ability to regulate inflammation, immunity, and anxiety. It is also a great daily supplement to promote joint and muscle health. Capsules are a convenient and low profile way to take CBD daily, and Wildflower capsules are a wonderful way to access pure, full-spectrum CBD.
Each Wildflower CBD capsule is vegan and features a cute little logo. One capsule contains 30mg of CBD and some hemp seed oil for good measure. Hemp seed oil is rich in Omega 3 & 6 as well as amino acids, all of which bolster the boost in the overall wellness of the CBD. At 30mg these capsules have a great baseline, even just one a day could show results for less severe cases of joint pain, insomnia, and anxiety.
My experience with Wildflower capsules is nothing fancy, but it is noteworthy. A few weeks back I described an experience with a back spasm that just put me out. When I was treating it with CBD I took 2 capsules every 2 hours. Now, that is a lot of CBD. Precisely 60 mg every two hours. But when the capsules began to take effect I could feel the tension point in my back relax. When they wore off even a little bit I could feel the stiffness begin to take hold again. Before this experience, I didn’t have much interest in capsules outside of use as a daily supplement, but in this case, they were simply perfect.

Full body relaxation hybrid made by crossing cannabis cultivars Tangie and Candyland.
Being a budtender at a cannabis dispensary is a mixed bag. Many people come in and exclaim that it must be an amazing job to have, and in some ways it totally is. Actually, one of my favorite things about working in a recreational cannabis shop is the ability to talk directly to the growers. In the case of Northwest Grown, I had the opportunity to meet their team on multiple occasions while budtending. They were simply upstanding people and they were very stoked to tell me about their pheno hunting last Summer. So when I saw the Tangieland that the Northwest Grown team specifically. mentioned on the shelf at Smoking Crow I had to pick up an eighth.
Northwest Grown is a Mount Vernon based producer. Their cultivation team one third-generation grower from the coveted Emerald Triangle in California and a greenhouse tradesman with a degree in Horticulture. They grow with a tight eye on each crop, ensuring the plants are in the most comfortable environment for growing big, beautiful nuggets. Eighths are packaged in jars for peak freshness and each batch is tested at an accredited third-party lab. At their Northwestern Washington indoor facility, they grow in a coco medium without pesticides.
When it comes to the nugs, they’re densely packed and shaped like chunky fat pine trees. Buds are so drenched in trichomes it is like a blanket of white atop a forest green. Tufts of burnt orange pistils are evenly dispersed on each robust nugget. The aroma is just as strong with Tangie as the taste. I hit my Tangieland with a bong and experienced a deeply Tangie-focused flavor which is reminiscent of orange musk. The finish left a sweet lemon balm flavor on my palette. Immediately after the hit, I felt a jolt to my brain before a slow relaxation fell over my jaw and shoulders. Despite this gooey feeling in my muscles, I felt a steady focus permeate the high. The focus wasn’t pinpointed on any goal, however, but more of an airy grasp on reality. Tangieland was effective in helping me de-stress but it did have just the slightest anxious vibes.
Whenever I get the chance to try Lavender Kush from Ravengrass I take it, find out why in this i502 product review.
This relaxing cultivar from Ravengrass is a personal favorite. Actually, almost any Lavender cannabis that I meet becomes a must-try for me. That’s because Lavender cannabis is the perfect oil for my engine, or in this case, my endocannabinoid system. Lavender Kush from Ravengrass is up there as one of my favorites I’ve found in my travels. Ravengrass is an Olympia, Washington based i502 company focused on providing us with ‘Guaranteed Good Vibes’, their company motto.
Another reason Ravengrass is so wonderful is because of their attention to detail. Each batch is tested for terpenes along with both major & minor cannabinoids. Even the grams come in sealed jars frosted to protect buds from the light while they’re in the store. They’re also each stamped with the Vera Terra stamp. This indicates that they are running a transparent brand utlizing pest deterrents that are approved for USDA Organic certified farmers.
Now, Let’s Talk Bud
Each bud is fluffy, that means they’re not the densest, but that’s no issue. Flowers are light green with small tinges of dark forest green. The aroma is a complex convergence of mint and musk that ends in a pleasant almost floral bouquet. Buds are fluffy and loose, not the densest. Light green with slight touches of dark green. Aromatically musky with a minty undertone that converges into a pleasant floral bouquet. The flavor is very on trend with the smell filling us to the brim with a sweet mint.
Moments after hitting a brimmer of Lavender it feels like there is a little balloon blowing up in the cranium. As that imaginary balloon deflates it leaves behind simple space where there was once anxiety and/or stress. Right after hitting the bowl there is a supreme high and lethargy coinciding with the come-up. When we’re not too careful it can induce laziness, but that can be avoided with proper planning. Just stay focused on whatever task is at hand before taking on Lavender Kush. I personally love this one for anxiety & depression, I’ve also found it quite lovely for stress relief and muscle tension. Check out the terpene and cannabinoid content below, and if you’re in Bellingham stop by Smoking Crow on Pacific Highway for some before it’s gone.

Gabriel Cannabis is available all over Washington state right on down to the Northern Oregon border. It is the strain that circulated in the company’s ‘Name That Strain’ campaign. The effects could be called Indica-dominant as its a great choice for anyone dealing with chronic stress, anxiety, and pain. This brand is also a good choice for the connoisseur as they follow good practices, maintain their licenses with the state, and grow simply impressive cannabis flowers.
The Gabriel Cannabis Process
The company produces indoor grown cannabis flowers fed with all-organic nutrients. Gabriel cultivation rooms are sealed off from other environments for full control over free radicals. Their mantra is to provide the plants with the ideal environment so that pesticides aren’t even needed. They also use a humidity system that recaptures the water given off in the room and uses it to rewater the plants for a more sustainable approach to indoor farming.
After harvest, branches are hung in a unique cedar cellar for seven days to cure before being hand trimmed. They are then sealed up in handcrafted cedar boxes and cured for another 14 days. After that last cure each bud goes through one final inspection to ensure that it is trimmed to those high Gabriel standards. Once buds are deemed ready for sale it’s time for packaging, and Gabriel packaging is eye catching to say the least. Glass jars with sustainable and airtight bamboo lids are graced with stickers that identify both the brand and strain. THC and CBD potency are also clearly labelled on the side of the jar in the style of a food label’s nutritional breakdown. The bottom of each jar is outfitted with nugnifying glass that can help us get the full view of those sparkling trichomes.
How Does It Hit The Senses?
Visually the Sunny G is an absolute stunner, but she’s so much more than just a pretty face. The buds are a deep, dark purple with the smallest hints of dark green. Bright orange brown hairs are sprinkled throughout each nug alongside a complete blanket of sticky sweet trichomes. Once we get past this initial wow factor we can break down the complex aroma of sharp calamus root and mandarin oranges that develops into a rich bergamot and bright camphor flavor after being ripped through the bong.
I hit my Sunny G through a clean glass beaker bong with an Herb Iron ceramic wand. Just after exhalation that gratifying feeling of a cloudy brain begins to move in as stresses melt away. There is a slight clinging in the temple in those first moments of the come up, but that initial uptick mellows quickly into a heavy, happy stone. This familiar relaxation comes alongside a heavy eye and loose jaw. In about 30 to 45 minutes the high has hit its stride and the mellow mood is real. The ability to keep it together and function is there but stresses and daily aches and pains are quelled for about 2-3 hours.
Keep an eye out for a drop of Sunny G resin from the i502 processor very soon!
